You will train in professional workshops using industry-standard tools, preparing you for apprenticeships or entry-level jobs in garages, dealerships and service centres.

GCSE grade 9-1 (A*-F) in English or an ESOL Entry 3 qualification. You will also need GCSE grade 9-1 (A*-F) in maths. Equivalence of these qualifications will be considered. Evidence of a commitment to learn and the ability to study at
this level shown at interview.
Topics covered include introduction to vehicle steering suspension systems, basics of vehicle body fitting, introduction to vehicle wheels and tyres and introduction to vehicle workshop bench skills.
Completing the Motor Vehicle Mechanics Entry Level 3 Diploma opens the door to a range of entry-level roles in the automotive industry. You can pursue positions such as trainee mechanic, workshop assistant, tyre fitter, or fast-fit technician, working in garages, dealerships or service centres.
The assessment is made up of two components: practical tasks and written assignments.
