Student Life

At Croydon College, we believe that learning extends beyond the classroom. Our students enjoy a vibrant college experience that helps them develop new skills, make friends, and prepare for life after college.

Enrichment Opportunities

Our enrichment programme offers a wide range of activities outside your academic timetable. Students can take part in sports, creative projects, community and charity work, and volunteering. These activities are a great way to build teamwork, leadership, and communication skills while having fun and meeting new people.

The College also provides support through enrichment for students applying to Higher Education or seeking employment, helping them gain valuable experience and confidence.

Student Union and Student Voice

The Student Union (SU) is run by students, for students, and plays a central role in shaping college life. The SU represents the student voice at every level of the College, including meetings with senior leadership and governance committees.

Student Union representatives work on initiatives that enhance the college community, organise social events, raise awareness of charity causes, and help improve facilities and services for students. This gives students the chance to make a real impact while developing leadership and organisational skills.

Community and Social Life

Life at College isn’t just about studying. Students can enjoy a range of social events, from welcome and Freshers’ activities to charity events and awareness days. There’s always something happening on campus to meet friends, try something new, or contribute to the wider community.

Developing Skills for the Future

Through enrichment and student-led activities, our students gain more than academic knowledge. They develop skills such as teamwork, problem-solving, leadership, and community engagement — all of which are highly valued by universities and employers.

At Croydon College, we aim to create a supportive, inclusive, and inspiring environment where students can thrive both inside and outside the classroom.
