UAL Diploma in Art & Design, Fashion & Photography L2
The course is broad and covers many of the specialist areas of the Art & Design Industry and gives you real life experience in the local art community through work experience. Over the duration of the program, students are encouraged to develop a broad understanding of the subjects while honing their practical skills and creative abilities.Students learn to experiment with materials and ideas, while also developing an understanding of the creative process from initial concept to final presentation.
3 GCSEs grade 9-3 (A*-D) or a related Level 1 vocational qualification including, English and maths. Equivalence of these
qualifications will be considered. Plus, an art portfolio containing recent creative work you have done.
The Art & Design, Photography, and Fashion Level 2 UAL Diploma offers several exciting opportunities that enhance the student experience. Students have the opportunity to participate in workshops with local organizations where they can showcase their creativity and even win competitions.Lessons cover a broad range of techniques and skills, including drawing, digital design, photography composition, fashion illustration and garment construction.One of the exciting aspects of the course is the opportunity to work on real-world projects, creating portfolios that showcase their talents.
For those looking to continue their studies, the Level 2 UAL Diploma provides a strong foundation for progression onto higher-level courses. Students can pursue a Level 3 UAL Extended Diploma in Art & Design, Fashion, Photography or Graphic Design which further develops their skills and knowledge. This can lead to higher education opportunities, such as university degrees in areas like Fine Art, Photography, Fashion Design, Graphic Design or Illustration.
The work on the course is project/assignment based and assessment is continuous throughout the course.Planned reviews and tutorials are also completed to support student development and achievement on the course. Students will get feedback at the end of each stage of the course to enable them to improve on their learning and performance.
