GCSE grade 9-2 (A*-E) in English and maths.Equivalence of these qualifications will be considered. Evidence of a commitment to learn and the ability to study at this level shown at interview.

You'll explore topics such as Engineering Principles, Technical Drawing, Materials Science, Electrical Principles, and CAD (Computer-Aided Design).The course includes hands-on practical sessions, ensuring that students gain real-world experience.Our state-of-the-art facilities feature fully equipped workshops, modern computer labs for CAD design, and specialist equipment for electrical and mechanical testing.
On completetion of this course you can progress onto engineering Level 2 and further studies in engineering, ultimately leading to roles like Design Engineer, Electrical Technician or Project Manager in the engineering sector. Alternatively, you may wish to explore an apprenticeship.This course opens up a wide range of exciting career opportunities including roles such as a Junior Engineer, CAD Technician or Workshop Assistant.
You will be assessed over 11 units. Each unit consists of three or four written assignments.
