BTEC Extended Diploma in Esports L3
The Esports Level 3 qualification at Croydon College is the next step for students who want to deepen their understanding and expertise in the rapidly expanding world of esports. Building on the foundational knowledge acquired in the Level 2 course, this program offers a more advanced exploration of both the competitive and business aspects of the esports industry. Designed to provide practical, hands-on experience and a strategic insight into esports, the course prepares students for professional roles in a range of fields within the industry.
4 GCSEs grade 9-4 (A*-C) or a related Level 2 vocational qualification (at merit or higher),including English and maths. Equivalence of these qualifications will be considered.
Representing the college as part of the Esports college team and participating in competitions.Our course is designed by Esports experts and professionals who will provide practical, hands on knowledge. Our state of the art facilities will allow you to train in a modern gaming environment with high end equipment. You will explore how live streaming, content creation and broadcasting are integral to the esports ecosystem. You will develop skills in video production and social media strategies. The course explores esports business, marketing and event management.
On completion of this qualification, you can progress onto employment or Higher Education.The esports industry is booming and the demand for skilled professionals is higher than ever. An esports qualification can open the door to a variety of exciting career opportunities such as event organiser, professional esports player and esports analyst.
All units are internally assessed through coursework, this means no exams! The course consists of 15 units spreac cross two years. Assignments include practical tasks such as streaming, tournament organisation and business planning.
