3 GCSEs grade 9-3 (A*-D) or a related Level 1 vocational qualification including, English and maths. Equivalence of these qualifications will be considered.
This course is designed for those wishing to develop skills within the esports and related industries. This course will teach you the essential skills and fundamental knowledge that underpin the Esports business.Topics covered include gaming, competitive gaming, content creation,tournament play, streaming, starting an enterprise and planning an event. You will be exploring game design and health and wellbeing in Esports. Representing the college as part of the Esports college team and participating in competitions, you will have the opportunity to compete at a national level.Our course is designed by Esports experts and professionals who will provide practical, hands on knowledge. Our state of the art facilities will allow you to train in a modern gaming environment with high end equipment. You will explore how live streaming, content creation and brodcasting are integral to the esports ecosystem. You will develop skills in video production and social media strategies.
Further studies would include studying Level 3 Esports and potentially continuing your studies onto university where you can pursue a bachelor's degree in Esports.The esports industry is booming and the demand for skilled professionals is higher than ever. Learners in the BTEC Level 2 Esports Diploma will be assessed through practical assignments and project-based work rather than traditional exams. This means no exams!
