Public Services is an exciting and rewarding course that can open the door to a wide range of careers, including the Police, Fire and Rescue Service, Army, Royal Navy, and other emergency and protective services.
Throughout the course, you will develop valuable skills such as teamwork, communication, leadership, problem-solving, self-discipline, and physical fitness. These skills are highly regarded by employers and will support your progression into further study, apprenticeships, or employment.

3 GCSEs grade 9-3 (A*-D) or a related Level 1 vocational qualification including, English and maths. Equivalence of these qualifications will be considered.
Mature applicants may be considered on relevant experience without having the required entry requirements. However, an interview will always be required.
On completion, you can progress onto Level 3 Public Services or Level 3 Sport . Alternatively, you may wish to start an apprenticeship. You can pursue roles such as security officer, civil service assistant, firefighter trainee, police support worker, army or royal navy trainee, emergency services call handler or outdoor activity leader.
The majority of your work on this course will be assessed through internal coursework however, you will also be expected to complete a short examination and other externally assessed work.
