Diploma Playwork L3 (19+ Only)
This qualification provides in depth information about the role of the level 3 playworker.The diploma covers the knowledge and skills needed when working unsupervised and requires the learner to demonstrate these in the workplace. It is aimed at experienced playworkers who have an appreciation of the playwork principles and practice.

4 GCSEs grade 9-4 (A*-C) or a related Level 2 vocational qualification (at merit or higher), including English and maths. Equivalence of these qualifications will be considered. Experience may be considered for mature applicants.
This qualification is designed for learners who work or wish to work with children between the ages of 4 and 16 in playwork settings. Learners will need to be working, volunteering or on practical placement, as they need to show competence in both knowledge and skills.
Learners can progress onto qualifications such as Level 5 Diploma in Advanced Playwork. Learners who achieve this qualification could progress as a level 3 playworker working with responsibility for other staff, to the following: before and after school clubs, holiday playschemes, adventure playgrounds, open access play settings and play rangers.
All units within this qualification are internally assessed and subject to external standards verification. Assessment methods include role plays, presentations, group discussions, and coursework assignments. The qualifications are criterion-referenced, meaning your success is determined by meeting all specified learning outcomes.
