3 GCSEs grade 9-3 (A*-D) or a related Level 1 plumbing qualification including, English and maths. Equivalence of these qualifications will be considered. Mature applicants may be considered on relevant experience without having the required
entry requirements.However, a maths and English assessment may be required.
This qualification does not make candidates fully qualified plumbers therefore, we recommend progression to a level 3 plumbing qualification. This could be at a training provider or as an apprenticeship. Alternatively, you may wish to go into employment in the construction industry. Employment opportunities include trainee plumber, pipefitter, plumbing technician and self-employed plumbing.
You will be assessed on your completed practical tasks. Written assessment will include multiple choice questions, paper-based exams and written assignments.
