BTEC Extended Diploma in Games, Animation & Digital Media L3
This course is designed to provide you with a technical understanding of film and television visual effects, allowing you to produce high-quality effects through practical projects. You will develop essential skills in areas such as storyboarding, 2D and 3D animation, compositing, and rendering techniques. The curriculum covers a range of topics, including Digital Media Skills, Visual Effects, 2D Animation, Film Production and 3D Digital Animation.

4 GCSEs grade 9-4 (A*-C) or a related Level 2 vocational qualification (at merit or higher), including English and maths. Equivalence of these qualifications will be considered. In addition, a portfolio or show-reel containing recent examples of artwork, sketchbooks, photography work, or any creative work you have done. This could be both course work and work you have created in your own time.
Graduates can pursue careers in the gaming industry, film and television production, advertising, web development, digital content creation, and interactive media. The course also provides a strong foundation for those looking to continue their studies at university or through apprenticeships, with opportunities in digital media, computer animation, game development and visual effects.
