BTEC Extended Diploma in Fashion Design L3
You will explore the different disciplines within the fashion industry through workshops and projects.The course encourages learners to take on individual research and workshops, enabling them to be further prepared for higher-level learning or entering the fashion industry through employment.Teaching and guidance from lecturers working in the industry.We have well-resourced studios and workshops for all disciplines, and our fashion studio offers the opportunity to work on industry and domestic machinery.The aim of the course is to equip you with a broad basis of industry-relevant skills and to allow you to progress to either employment within the fashion industry or continue with higher education.

4 GCSEs grade 9-4 (A*-C) or a related Level 2 vocational qualification (at merit or higher), including English and maths. Equivalence of these qualifications will be considered. In addition, evidence of an art portfolio containing recent creative work you have done.
The course includes work experience, enrichment activities, live events and collaborative projects You will learn a number of subject areas, including: research and idea creation, fashion illustration and drawing, fashion design, textile design, fabric manipulation and fashion promotion.
After completing this course, you will be ready to pursue a variety of exciting career opportunities in the fashion industry.
Potential career pathways include fashion design, styling, buying, merchandising, retail management and garment production. Alternatively, you can progress to study Level 4 Foundation Art and Design offered at Croydon College. Other higher education courses that can be explored are fashion design, fashion marketing, costume design, fashion photography, fashion business management and fashion styling.
