You will gain knowledge and understanding essential to the health and social care sector, supporting progression to further learning or the workplace.
You will be provided with the opportunity of participating in community charity events, visits to Health & Care settings and museums as well as work placement.

On completion, you can enter the workforce or continue your study on a higher education programme at university.
In order to achieve the Technical Level 3 Extended Diploma
in Health and Social Care, students must achieve the internally assessed unit
assessments for:
14 mandatory units
4 Optional units
Learners must also achieve:
Certificate External Assessment (HSC1)
Extended
Diploma External Assessment (HSED2)
Short Answer Examination (HSC/SAE)
(Unit HSC DM 3.1)
They must also complete a minimum of 175 placement
hours.
