World of Work
Welcome to Croydon College’s World of Work (WOW). We are always striving to give you the best education and that also means arming you with the skills and knowledge to take into the workplace. Our WOW team covers a few disciplines which all support your growth during your time at Croydon College.
Apprenticeships
If you would like to earn a wage while you learn a skill, then an apprenticeship is the perfect route. Our dedicated Apprenticeship Team work to guide you from creating your application, finding the perfect vacancy, attending an interview and getting started on your new career.
Work Experience
The Work Placement Team provides high quality experiences and work-related activities for learners on vocational, academic and higher education programmes. Work placements provide invaluable experiences which complement classroom learning. We encourage learners to engage fully with local employers and the professional community.
Online Learning
We offer a library of online courses which will upskill you for the next stage in your career. The courses have been developed by our in-house staff and you are supported throughout the duration. They last 6-8 weeks and cover many subjects such as Equality and Diversity, Understanding Autism, Teaching and Learning and Understanding Mental Health. Many course are free, subject to meeting funding criteria.
Employability Youth Hub
Our new Employability Youth Hub works directly with the Department of Work and Pensions (DWP) who will refer eligible customers from across the borough directly onto the programme, as well as signposting 18-24-year-olds to the programme who are looking to gain employability skills and would like further support in their pathway to the next step of their career journey.
