Swap Not Drop Your College Course
Are you thinking about dropping your college course?
Did you know you can always change courses instead?
#SwapNotDrop
What is Swap Not Drop?
It encourages students to switch to a different course, or choose an alternative option, rather than dropping out entirely, if their chosen programme isn’t working out as they hoped.
Why might you be thinking about dropping out of your course?
There are many reasons a student might want to drop out of education. Financial reasons, health and wellbeing, stress, and family pressure are just some of the often-cited reasons. However, one of the most common is simply that the course of study is no longer right for the student.
This may be because the course isn’t what the student expected, or because their career ambitions have changed, and they now need different qualifications as a result.
If this is you, we urge you not to make any quick decisions. Instead of dropping out of education entirely, you could switch to a different course, or an alternative option such as an apprenticeship? At Croydon College we offer a wide variety of options.
What to do if you’re thinking of dropping out of education and how do you attend the Swap Not Drop Event?
First: don’t panic. It’s normal and very common to start an educational course and then realise it’s not right for you.
- Attend the Swap Not Drop Event at Croydon College on the 4th floor, in room 420 (the conference centre) on Wednesday 21 September, anytime between 12pm to 4pm.
- We will have a range of Curriculum Areas, Finance, Careers and Apprenticeships that can ensure you are on the correct course for you to reach your careers goals.
