Student Profiles

I wanted to come to Croydon College because I have always admired its reputation for equality and diversity and for voluntary work. After attending an Open Event, I immediately fell in love with the College and my decision has never disappointed me! I decided to become a student representative because I enjoy being a leader. I enjoy being someone who my fellow students can rely on, someone who can help my peers with whatever problems they may be facing. I also like communicating, problem solving, and teamwork and being a student representative offers the opportunity to develop all of these skills. During the summer I participated in the National Citizen Service with The Challenge. This was possibly the best experience of my life. I took part in several adventurous activities including rock climbing, abseiling, hiking, camping, and rope gliding. We were set different tasks such as working in a team to keep check of provisions and having to find hidden items. When I finish my course here at Croydon College, I would like to move on to university to study psychology, a subject in which I have a tremendously high interest.
