I wanted to join Student Life at Croydon College to challenge myself and to see how far I could go. I enjoy the support that Student Life gives and the skills that I have been able to gain. I used to be a very shy person and I never wanted to get involved, but thanks to the opportunities that the college’s Student Life offers, I have been able to come out of my shell. I am now the Vice Activities Officer for the Student Executive group and I lead events, talk to other leaders, and share ideas about how to make college life fun as well as educational for students. I never thought I would be able to achieve this much, but thanks to the training sessions that are also on offer I have been able to gain public speaking and leadership skills. When I finish my course at the college I hope either to go to university or to start an apprenticeship.
