Student Profiles

Croydon College felt like the right choice for me because of its diverse student body and because it offers the right course to fulfil my career ambitions. I chose to study engineering because I have always wanted to become an engineer. There are not many female engineers and I wanted to prove that this industry is not just for men. I like being able to work with equipment in the workshop, such as the lathe, the milling machine, and the pillar drill to do my project work. What I have really enjoyed about my time at Croydon College is getting to know many different people from a variety of backgrounds and countries. I also really like the college facilities, like the common room and the canteen, because the atmosphere is nice and they are kept clean. Once I have finished, I would like to go to university to pursue a degree in civil with mechanical engineering.
