Student Profiles

I chose Croydon College because of the convenient location and the good reviews I had heard from current and previous students. I was also enrolled on the Saturday lessons whilst I was still in secondary school which allowed me to experience the college first-hand. I like the wide variety of resources available at Croydon College, such as the library and the support services. I have been interested in cooking from a young age and no other profession felt natural for me to do so I started to pursue a career in the hospitality and food industry. What I enjoy most about the course is the changing timetable as it helps to keep the course fresh and it provides a wider variety of activities. It’s also fun the amount of control that’s given to the students in the form of deciding what we want to cook and assisting with the menu planning. My plans after college are to start working in a kitchen to get work experience and to fund furthering my learning as I hope to progress on to university.
