On their visit to the college, Government inspectors Ofsted recognised that our showpiece Library and Learning Resource Centre is ‘at the heart of the college both physically and academically’ – and that’s exactly right.
Recognised by other college libraries across the country as one of the most forward thinking and innovative, Croydon College and Croydon University Centre students have access to facilities that are the envy of their peers.
Spread over three floors, the library has been designed to suit the needs of all of our students. This includes dedicated Croydon University Centre resources for our Higher Education students.
Zones on each floor enable students to work either in groups or individually. Large quiet and silent study spaces are also available for those who wish to work independently.
If you bring your own laptop, tablet or smartphone to college, you can use the charging points around the library. Alternatively, there are PCs on every floor of the library that can be used on a turn-up-and-go basis.
Library facilities in numbers
- 45,000+ physical books
- 5,000+ electronic books available 24/7, even when the college is closed
- 100,000+ journal titles available online
- A wide variety of online resources to suit all requirements
