The new year is the perfect time to start afresh, and look ahead to 2022 with renewed vigour to tackle the challenges ahead and succeed over the next 12 months, and the Croydon College Group has the plenty of options available to help you succeed.
Croydon University Centre has courses that will be starting in the next six weeks, and there is still time to apply. Starting on 8 March and running weekly on Tuesdays, the Level 4 Education and Training course will enable students to evaluate their current teaching practices in order to develop their teaching skills further. Designed for individuals teaching in both the private training industry and education institutes, learners are required to log 30 hours of current teaching practice, including three hours of observation – building up a portfolio of evidence as part of the course including a teaching log, lesson observations and self-evaluations. Find out more here.
The University Centre is also having its next intake of students for the HNC Construction & Built Environment course on 28 March. This course is designed for those who have experience of working in construction and looking to enhance their career prospects in the industry and will give learners the chance to learn the techniques of how site investigation and evaluation can influence the design, construction, and maintenance of buildings and their substructures. The University Centre will provide opportunities for students to develop their skills in using analytical methods and statistics to solve problems as well as an understanding of the properties and structural behaviour of construction materials, and much more. Find out more here.
There is also a Facilities Management course, which starts in May 2022. This Level 4 qualification will give learners a broad understanding of the profession and provide the skills needed to complete complex, non-routine tasks within workplace and facilities management. It’s aimed at those working at an operational management level or at someone aspiring to these roles and wanting to stretch and develop their knowledge and capability. Find out more here.
All University Centre degrees will be starting in September 2022. Find out more about courses on offer by visiting www.croydonuniversitycentre.ac.uk and get your application in today.
Croydon College will also be offering new courses from September 2022. There is a Level 2 Barbering course, which will provide the necessary skills and knowledge that prove occupational competence as a junior barber, and a Level 2 Hospitality course, where learners will learn essential skills in areas like food service, food safety, handling payments, bookings, serving beverages, bar service and menu design. There will also be a new Level 3 in Gym Instructing and Personal Training course launching from September, designed to provide the knowledge and skills required to work in that sector.
And, reflecting the fast growth of the Esports industry across the world, the College has launched two Esports courses for September – a Level 2 BTEC and a Level 3 BTEC, giving learners an alignment of social, physical, mental and financial skills into one qualification to deepen and expand learning, skills which are highly valued in the changing and fluid workplace.
