Job Title: Finance Assistant Apprentice

Main Responsibilities: 

  • Accounts Payable & Receivable: Assist in processing invoices, reconciling supplier statements, and managing accounts receivable.
  • Data Entry: Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records by entering data into accounting software and spreadsheets.
  • Administrative Duties: Provide general administrative support to the finance team, including filing, photocopying, and handling correspondence.
  • Customer and Supplier Interaction: Communicate with customers and suppliers to resolve queries and provide information as required.
  • Learning and Development: Actively participate in training sessions and work towards completing your Level 2 Accounting qualification.

Skills & Qualifications:

  • Minimum Qualifications: GCSEs (or equivalent) in Mathematics and English, ideally at Grade 4 (C) or above.
  • Attention to Detail: Strong accuracy in data entry and financial record-keeping.
  • Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • IT Proficiency: Competent in using Microsoft Office, especially Excel.
  • Numerical Aptitude: Strong numerical skills and a keen interest in accounting.
  • Team Player: Ability to work well within a team and take direction from senior colleagues.
  • Organisational Skills: Ability to manage multiple tasks, prioritise effectively, and meet deadlines.
