Driving Skills and Opportunity in South London

At Croydon College, our mission is to play a leading role in shaping the local skills agenda through clear and active collaboration with key stakeholders. We are focused on meeting the changing skills needs of our communities, both locally and across the wider region. Our ambition is to be recognised as the leading skills provider in South London.

As an anchor institution, we are well placed and committed to supporting the regeneration of Croydon and helping to build a strong, vibrant community. By developing a skilled and work-ready population, we aim to support long-term growth and opportunity across the borough.

Croydon College Employment and Skills Stakeholder Networking Events
These events take place every quarter and bring together key employers, the local authority, the Department for Work and Pensions (DWP), education partners, and community and voluntary organisations. They provide a platform for collaboration on important local issues and support our role in leading skills development across the borough.

Croydon College Employer Skills Forums
Also held quarterly, these subject-specific forums invite employers to work directly with our academic teams. Together, we examine skills gaps and recruitment needs to ensure our curriculum reflects the demands of local and regional industries. These forums also support partnerships that offer work placements and employer-designed projects and assignments, helping students gain the experience and knowledge they need to succeed in their chosen sectors.
