Croydon College Year 1, Uniformed Public Services students visit to Croydon Fire Station.

This week  as part of their work towards the unit on Responding to Emergencies our Public Service students went along to Croydon Fire Station. During the visit students considered the effects of Health & Safety legislation upon the emergency services and how equipment and tactics have developed as a result.

They also got a chance to watch the Fire and Ambulance service complete an exercise working with ropes and ladders at height. Students were a credit to the course and the college and have been invited back by London Fire Brigade to assist with training exercises in the future.
