Why did you apply to Croydon College?

I applied to Croydon College to study Maths and English, but also to study Hairdressing so that I can kick-start my dream career.

What have been your highlights whilst studying here at Croydon College?

My highlights of studying here at Croydon College is that my teachers have been very helpful and supportive throughout every part of my studies. They always put your success first and make sure you feel comfortable to work both individually and as part of a team, and understand the lesson content.

Have you experienced any challenges?

My challenges have been getting to know new clients, build up my communication skills and use the right techniques and products. I have overcome these challenges by using my free time wisely and studying at least 2 to 3 hours a day, and to ask my teacher for help when I need it.

Do you have any advice for future students?

Make sure you choose the right course and put every effort into your work. Always push yourself and take part in every opportunity that gets given to you if you can, as it’s a great chance to gain experience and build up your skills.

What are your future aspirations?

Once I complete the Hairdressing course at Croydon College, I would like to go on to University so that I can get a degree to help me build and own my very own salon where I will be a professional hairdresser.
