Why did you chose to study Health and Social care?

I chose this course because I want to inspire young people at a time of need, and through this course at Croydon College, I know I can go on to do that.

What have been your highlights whilst studying at Croydon College?

The main highlight for me has been receiving my awards for hard work and great efforts! The staff always go above and beyond to ensure that students get recognised for their fantastic achievements. I’ve also achieved some personal milestones; I’ve realised how much I’ve matured and the confidence I’ve gained. I couldn’t have done this without the help of student services at Croydon College, so thank you!

Have you experienced any challenges? If so, how did you overcome those?

My initial challenges were to get to grips with the work, but also to fit in and make friends. However, with a mix of support from student services, study plus and my teachers, I built enough confidence to tackle the work, and to make new friends.

What do you love most about Croydon College?

At Croydon College, you will receive the best support and guidance throughout your studies in order to set you up for a fantastic future. The support comes from all directions so you can always confide in the College for almost anything on your mind!

What’s next for you?

After I complete my Health and Social Care studies at Croydon College, I would like to go onto become a safeguarding officer so that I can help young people like myself.
