Love Our College’s Week is a chance to celebrate and shout about all of the brilliant things that colleges do, day in and day out to build communities, boost businesses, and support individuals, and despite the pandemic, this year was no different.

This year, Croydon College and Coulsdon Sixth Form College decided to run a student competition that encouraged students to submit a short 60 second video telling us why they love their college to be in with a chance of winning a £100 voucher.

All of the videos were judged by the College CEO Caireen Mitchell and due to the high standard of entries she has decided to recognise everybody’s work by awarding prizes to all as follows:

  • Overall Winner £100
  • Winner £50
  • Highly Commended £25
  • Commended £10

Caireen said, ‘We are always so impressed with our students when they are set a task or challenge, and the Love our College’s Competition is a perfect example of how our College Community embrace these opportunities. It’s been a delight judging all of the competition videos and hearing all of the positive stories the students have about our fantastic Colleges. Thank you all for your time and effort that you’ve put into creating these videos.’

We are delighted to announce that the overall winner of the Love Our College’s Competition is a group effort from Coulsdon College students, Spencer Rochford, Megan Hierons and Kellie Figueiredo who creatively captured the meaning of Love our College’s Week- congratulations to all of you!

Thank you to everyone who participated in our competition, we’ve thoroughly enjoyed learning why you love our College.
