Why Croydon College?

Croydon College is such a unique and fantastic learning environment. The College has some great facilities available for students all in the aid of developing their skills and knowledge. No matter what course you study, you will be offered some amazing once in a lifetime opportunities that you just cannot turn down!

I hear you took part in the Erasmus+ Programme in November 2019. Tell me more about this.

The Erasmus programme allows students to study or gain work experience in a different European country whilst completing a degree. I was excited to get a place on this great programme, whereby myself and 7 other Hair and Beauty students spent two weeks in sunny Spain.

What did you learn from the Programme?

At my designated work placement, I did a great deal of work such as tinting, colouring, cutting and other practices. I also had the opportunity to improve my Spanish, and develop friendly relationships with the other employees. I really did have such a fantastic time and I learnt so many important things that can help advance my career.

Have you experienced any challenges whilst studying here?

I am a working mum of three amazing young children so balancing my personal life alongside my studies can be very difficult. However, with the outstanding support and encouragement of my teachers, tutors and assessors, I have made it through some very stressful times. All thanks to them, I have made it to my final year and I am now preparing for University.

What advice do you have for future students?

You can truly achieve your career dreams here at Croydon College. It is true that all sorts of help are available to you, but you must remain focused and hard working at all times!
