We are delighted to release the first edition of our Croydon Education Matters monthly e-bulletin. This e-newsletter has been sent to stakeholders of our collegiate and designed to inform them of what we’ve been up to, plus upcoming activities.

See below for an introduction to our monthly e-bulletin from Principal and CEO, Caireen Mitchell.

Principal Introduction

Welcome to the first Croydon Education Matters e-newsletter, a monthly round-up of news from our collegiate – Croydon College, Coulsdon Sixth Form College and the Croydon University Centre.

At this time, local community has never been more important. With more than 7,000 students studying across our three campuses we want to play an even greater part in helping Croydon’s economy recover and grow – building relationships with businesses and residents to help build back better and through education and training open more opportunities to the communities we serve in Croydon and beyond.

We offer all levels of education including A Levels, Btecs, ESOL, Access to Higher Education, HNC’s and higher level Degrees, along with apprenticeships, online learning and access to the government funded Kickstart programme. A new partnership with the University of Roehampton will see a new Adult Nursing degree available in Croydon from September and we are working with a growing list of employers to create even more apprenticeships and work placement opportunities.

I continue to be so grateful to all of our caring and dedicated staff and hardworking students who despite the current challenges never fail to impress with their level of engagement, attainment and many achievements.

I hope that this monthly round-up will provide you with an insight into what we’re up to, showcasing the great work by our students alongside the important collaborative working with stakeholders and partners.

Kind regards,

Caireen Mitchell
