The start of the 2017/18 summer term has seen the arrival of Croydon College’s new Principal and CEO, Caireen Mitchell.​

Caireen joins the college with a wealth of experience and has worked for 16 years in Education, most recently as the Group Director of Planning and Performance at the Capital City Colleges Group.

As part of her vision for the future of Croydon College, Caireen has expressed her passion for the way in which education ‘improves the lives and life chances’ of people and that to this end she will ‘ensure that the college continues to provide high quality education for all ages and those from various walks of life.

‘It is my privilege to be the Principal and CEO of such a ‘GOOD’ college, as confirmed by the recent Ofsted report.’ Caireen enthuses. ‘I am delighted to join a college with such a highly skilled and motivated staff and a hardworking student body and am really looking forward to expanding on the good work that the college is already doing’.​

‘As I am sure you will be aware, there are many changes afoot in the borough with the planned regeneration and the new Westfield development. We as a college will ensure that we will provide the skills and training to enable our community to access employment and careers in the Croydon of the future.’

Caireen also adds that ‘I am proud of the care and support our workforce provides to students to enable them to achieve their goals, we really do change lives and create futures.’
