Why did you apply to Croydon College?

Croydon College not only helps you pass your exams, but also encourages and challenges you to reach your full potential. I have been fortunate enough to be taught by such inspiring teachers, who love their jobs and truly want me to succeed as a student; they provide me with valuable knowledge in order to become a professional Beauty Therapist.

Why did you choose the course you are studying?

The field of beauty therapy is expanding rapidly and there are a lot of career opportunities available. Being a beautician is a rewarding career and helps people build up their self-esteem and wellbeing.

What opportunities have you received during your Beauty Therapy studies?

Whilst studying Beauty Therapy at Croydon College, I am provided with a variety of unique and unforgettable learning experiences. The one that has stood out most for me was the Erasmus+ Programme in November 2019 where we got the chance to gain vital work experience in Seville, Spain, for 2 weeks.

What have you learnt from taking part in the Erasmus+ Programme?

I got the chance to learn new beauty techniques in a local beauty salon, whilst challenging myself to communicate with the locals who spoke in a different language. The Erasmus+ Programme provides students like myself, with a once in a lifetime opportunity to explore such extraordinary places and increase cultural awareness, whilst developing the essential skills and knowledge to become a successful Beauty Therapist.

What have been your highlights whilst studying here at Croydon College?

For me, providing real clients treatments in the College Salon brings great value to me and my work experience. Most of us may feel nervous when we provide treatment for the first time but with the outstanding support we receive from our teachers, alongside essential practice, we gain more confidence to provide high-quality treatments.
