The new world of apprenticeships- Info session on the latest funding, delivery and benefits of using Croydon College

We are currently in an era of great change within the Apprenticeship world. A new way of funding and some interesting developments on how apprenticeships will be delivered will transform the landscape of how we educate a large proportion of our population.

There are 57,300 businesses in South London and a predicted 20,200 job openings expected by 2022. It is an important time where our offer to local employers needs to be clear, and that our services meet the requirements of the local community. The UK is currently facing skills shortages particularly in technology, engineering, digital, manufacturing & construction and we have an opportunity to change the situation and make our workforce world class.

Our session is planned to demystify some of the confusion we know our local employers face. We aim to answer the following questions; What is the Apprenticeship Levy? What happens if I do not need to pay a Levy? How do I work a digital apprenticeship account? What is an apprenticeship anyway? And what is all this talk about Apprenticeship Standards?

All employers are welcome, whatever the size of your company, so please come along to find out more. There are some great options to upskill your current workforce through Apprenticeships, as well as support from the college to recruit new members of staff.
