It has always been important to us to have regular check-ins with our apprentice’s employers to keep them involved in their progress and to update us on any concerns. It is also essential that the apprentice’s development and any areas they excel in are communicated, so we know what they’re doing well at.

Our recent Apprenticeship Employer Event provided the opportunity for just those conversations.

During the event, employers met members of our wider college team to discuss the needs of their companies. They were given a tour of the learning facilities and networked with other employers.

Apprenticeships work best as collaborative programmes between the apprentice, their employer, and the training provider. The social setting of the Apprenticeship Employer Event had the bonus of the employers being able to speak to each other about positive things that they have implemented to assist the apprentices further.

We look forward to hosting more events to benefit our apprentices and employers.
