University Centre Croydon is working with HMP Highdown and HMP Coldingly to offer students an exciting opportunity. Students studying on the LLB (qualifying law degree), or Criminology Psychology and Social Justice (CPSJ) degree at University Centre Croydon can choose to spend their third year working as a prison officer at either of the two prisons.

Students will receive full training and will earn in excess of £30,000 for the placement year. Students will then return to UCC after the placement year to complete their final year of study. The added bonus of this placement opportunity is that students graduating from this programme will have already passed their probationary period and so if they wish can begin working straight away as a prison officer.

£6,000 per year course fees (excluding placement year). We have a diverse student body at University Centre Croydon from all walks of life and of all ages.

If you are interested or want to find out more information then please contact Amy Croft on crofta@croydon.ac.uk or call 020 8760 5934. You can also find further details of the courses here.
