Croydon College hosted a Support Worker Information Evening on 23 February to deliver advice and guidance to people living with disabilities within our community.

The evening was arranged by the Employability Hub in collaboration with Croydon Vision.

Guests heard from Martin Silverwood, Odette Battarel and her guest Anna, and Access to Work, who shared insights on the support available to students through the college to ensure nobody misses out on their education, as well as personal stories about support workers, access to support, and lived experiences.

Mike Davies, manager of the Employability Hub, said, “It was a really great evening, I learnt a lot and talking with attendees after, it was clear they had too.

“We hope this is something we can repeat again in the future. We’re really proud that we can work with local organisations, like Croydon Vision and DWP, to put on events like this which can have such a positive impact on the Croydon community.”
