A small number of the University and College Union (UCU) members at Croydon College have opted to strike this week after rejecting a 6.5% pay offer.

We are pleased to report the offer was accepted by the National Education Union (NEU), which represents a number of academic staff at the Coulsdon Campus.

We recognise the dedication and hard work of all our colleagues and have worked hard to ring-fence this funding to be able to pay the 6.5% uplift to most staff, which is in line with the national offer accepted by schools. We are naturally disappointed at the strike action – however, students and their learning continue to be our priority, and the College remains open during the strike with all classes being delivered as planned.
