In Croydon College, we are celebrating as we have been awarded the Mayor’s Construction Academy (MCA) Kite Mark for quality!
The MCA aims to help more Londoners train for the skills needed to access careers in the construction industry in London. The Quality Mark identifies and recognises high-quality construction skills training provision in London.
This is excellent news for construction students studying at Croydon College as it means the College has been recognised for providing students with the essential skills they need, in order to obtain a successful career in the construction industry.
Peter Lang, Head of Building, Engineering and Technical Professions, has stated “Not only does the award allow us to provide the best training for our students it will allow job centres to send people to us to retrain and go out on site.”
“The quality mark identifies and recognises high quality construction training and skills training in London. Any college that’s got this mark is saying they have got good provisions and that the Mayor’s office sees them as exceptional.”
With the award, the College can now apply for more funding to expand the department and offer more opportunities for students looking for a career in the construction industry.
