On the 26th October, Croydon College hosted the second Disability Confident Job Fair in collaboration with DWP (Department for Work and Pensions) and EDT ( Educational Development Trust). The aim of the job fair was getting unemployed disabled Croydon residents into work; everyone should have the same opportunity for a fulfilling work life.

The fair was successful with many companies like the Make A Difference Programme, Alina Homecare, Centronic, SES Water and the Metropolitan Police offering advice, support and opportunities for those with disabilities.

Lois Moore of Tarmac stated, “It was great to support the Disability Jobs Fair at Croydon College today and have the opportunity to meet everyone and have an amazing tour of the facilities! Thank you for having us!

Thank you to everyone who supported and attended the fair. This truly highlighted that there are opportunities out there that are inclusive to everyone.

Know me for my abilities, not my disability.” Robert M. Hensel
