We want you to be involved in discussing and deciding on things that affect your experience at the college. We want you to influence what we do and how new ideas are developed.
The Student Voice is about:
- Listening to your concerns, interests and needs
- Involving students in discussions that are relevant to student life
- Making changes as a result of student input
Student Representatives
Each course or tutor group will elect one or two Student Representatives.
By becoming a student rep you will be a spokesperson for your peers and have the opportunity to influence the college’s environment and education provision.
Your course group will elect their student reps during a tutorial session at the beginning of term one.
Find your student rep by looking out for their identifying lanyard, or become a rep yourself and gain experience to add to your CV!
Student Committee
Student reps are collectively known as the Student Committee – the ‘voice’ of the college. The committee meets once a term at each campus to discuss topics that are important to you and your peers.
Student Executive Team
In September, students have the opportunity to apply to be part of the Student Executive team. Their role is to represent the views of their campus’ Student Committee to senior management. The Student Executive team is chaired by the Student President. The team runs the Student Association on a day-to-day basis, and meets every two weeks throughout the academic year to discuss topics and plan actions.
Student Association
Every student is automatically a member of the Croydon College Student Association when they enrol. The Association is run by students and is here to represent you throughout your studies. We gather feedback from students about the college, coordinate campaigns, attend college meetings, organise activities and fundraise for charitable causes. Information about the Student Association’s activities will be published on Moodle, college notice boards, and the plasma screens around campus.
If you would like to provide feedback about the college or get involved in the work of the student association please email studentassociation@croydon.ac.uk
