What made you choose this course?
I’ve always had a passion for mechanics. I originally considered becoming a mechanic in the British Armed Forces, but I decided to follow the mechanics pathway in the civilian world instead.

Why did you decide to study at Croydon College?
I chose Croydon College because it’s local. I’ve grown up in Croydon, so I’m very familiar with the area and felt comfortable studying here.

What do you enjoy most about your course?
I really enjoy the practical side of the course. For example, we’ve been taking apart engines, measuring components, and seeing how everything works. Being hands-on is the best part for me.

How are you finding the teaching/support?
The teaching and support are excellent. Our tutor, Chris, is very knowledgeable and experienced in the trade. He teaches really well and makes learning enjoyable. The support is great too — everyone is approachable and helpful.

Are there any specific goals or career plans you have after completing this course?
After finishing the course, I want to become a mechanic working in a garage, continuing to work on cars and hopefully also on motorbikes.

Would you recommend Croydon College to a future student? If so, why?
Yes, definitely. The staff are really nice, understanding, and excellent at their jobs. I would especially recommend this course to anyone interested in mechanics — it’s enjoyable, teaches practical life skills, and prepares you for a great career.
