Art and Design Level 3 Year 2 students are collaborating with SGI-UK (Soka Gakkai International) to create inspiring artwork for the ‘Seeds of Hope & Action’ exhibition in the Parfitt Gallery at Croydon College.
This exhibition will showcase 25 panels that present a visionary outlook on sustainable living, aligned with the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). The ‘Seeds of Hope & Action’ exhibition highlights our profound interconnectedness with all life and encourages us to broaden our compassion. It empowers viewers to transcend feelings of powerlessness and affirms that each individual holds the power to ignite meaningful change.
The Soka Gakkai and SGI advocate for peace, culture, and education grounded in respect for the dignity of life. Join us for the public exhibition on Tuesday, 25th February, from 5 PM to 8 PM. Experience breathtaking artwork, engaging educational talks, and a transformative ‘Clothing Cavern’ that promotes sustainable fashion through upcycling. Bring an unwanted item of clothing to take part in an enriching clothes swap or discover innovative ways to upcycle your wardrobe. This is a call to students, parents, and those passionate about art, environmentalism, community, and our shared humanity to unite and inspire one another.
