Last term, Functional English Skills students participated in a persuasive writing competition. The students had the opportunity to design the best persuasive leaflet to encourage more people to try food from their favourite restaurant. In order to be considered for the prize of Amazon vouchers, the leaflet had to include:

  • Persuasive features
  • Organisational or presentational features
  • A variety of simple, compound and complex sentences

The competition was challenging but we are proud to announce that our Functional English Skills student, Raymond won the competition!

We were delighted with all the entries but particular congratulations to Raymond for winning!

If you have a creative flair, vivid imagination and a way with words, one of our English courses could be ideal for you. Find out more here.
