Course Requirements
No prior attainment is required although learners not advised to have significant proportion of the knowledge, skills or behaviours that a bootcamp is designed to help acquire.
Outcomes of the bootcamp
• Key skills and knowledge participants will gain.
- Identifying a career pathway and the starting point for a career within childcare
- How to support a child’s development through play and recognising the importance of play
- How to prepare and support a healthy diet to support a child’s development
- How to support a child with allergies and dietary requirements
- How to recognise the signs and symptoms of childhood delays and childhood illnesses
- How to recognise the signs and indicators of abuse and correctly respond to allegations of abuse and bullying
- How to interpret and work within important legislation and frameworks for child development (EYFS)
• Wraparound support (e.g. career coaching, CV writing, interview prep).
As part of the bootcamp, there will be an employability component included helping you with CV writing interview prep and much more. You will be offered free career coaching sessions.
• Information about guaranteed job interviews or progression opportunities.
You’ll benefit from expert training, employability support and a guaranteed job interview with a local employer on completion.
Certifications they will receive
Learners will be working towards the TQUK Level 2 Certificate in Principles of Introducing Caring to Children and Young People.
