I chose Croydon College because it provides an exceptional curriculum that genuinely supports students’ needs. Its convenient location, just a short distance from my home, made it an ideal choice for my education.
The guidance I received while studying, from Entry Level 1 through to my Access to Nursing course, played a critical role in my acceptance into the University Centre and laid a solid foundation for my career.
Although I faced personal challenges that led me to consider pausing my studies, I am grateful for the unwavering support from my lecturer, Kathleen Hawke, and others who encouraged me to persevere.
The Learning Resource Centre was invaluable, offering the tools and resources I needed to excel in all my modules. As a result, I successfully obtained the credits required for university admission.
I truly believe that Croydon College has been the cornerstone of my career journey, and for that, I am incredibly thankful.
Additionally, the Careers team offered vital preparation for my interviews and future roles. I relished the opportunity to engage in fundraising activities and participate in walks for Macmillan, in collaboration with Croydon University Hospital, which was even highlighted in a local newspaper.
I also took part in HIV Awareness Week organised by Croydon Council.

What is life like after Croydon College?

The knowledge I gained throughout my time at Croydon College equipped me well for university, where I graduated with first-class honors. I am now a registered nurse working as a Junior Sister (Band 6) in an NHS hospital.
