 The Access to Higher Education (HE) Diploma is a nationally recognised qualification that provides a clear pathway to university for those without traditional Level 3 qualifications.

Our one-year courses are designed for adults (aged 19 and over) who may have been out of full-time education for some time, or those seeking to apply to university without the required qualifications. Whether you want to enhance your skills, pursue higher education, or make a career change, this course is designed to help you achieve your ambitions.

access to he: midwifery – level 3

The Midwifery Diploma is specifically designed for adults returning to after a break and aiming to pursue a degree in Midwifery or a related field. The course requires a mature approach and a high level of dedication, with a successful interview and screening process as prerequisites.

access to he: nursing – level 3

The Nursing Diploma is perfect for adults who have been away from full-time education for a while and are looking to pursue higher education in nursing or related fields. This course is ideal for adults with experience in Social Work, Youth and Community Work, Social Policy, Psychology, or Sociology. It also suits those seeking a career change due to unemployment or limited opportunities, especially if they have a strong interest in social work-related professions.

access to he: social sciences – level 3

Our expert team will help you develop essential academic knowledge and sharpen critical thinking skills in key areas, including Biological and Developmental Psychology, Ethical Dilemmas, Mental Health Conditions, and Sociology of Crime and Deviance. These subjects will equip you with a deeper understanding of complex social and psychological issues, preparing you for success in your chosen field. 

pre-access to nursing – level 2

This qualification is tailored for adults aspiring to build a professional career in nursing or social work. The Access Level 2 course is delivered over two to three days and is a well-established route to the Access to Higher Education Diploma at Level 3.

pre-access – level 1

This Access Level 1 course is tailored for adults seeking to advance to Level 2 courses in Nursing, Science, or Social Science at Croydon College. The program is structured over two days per week, providing a flexible pathway for learners to build foundational skills and knowledge in preparation for their future studies.

counselling – level 2 & 3    

This qualification is designed to introduce learners to the application of counselling skills in everyday life and the workplace, alongside the foundational approaches that support their use. It provides an opportunity for learners to explore the essential knowledge and skills required for effectively engaging in helping interactions.                                               

it digital skills – entry 3 to level 1

This qualification enables learners to develop the essential digital skills required for everyday life, work, and further study, in line with the national standards for digital competencies. It is specifically designed for adults seeking to enhance their IT skills for employment opportunities and further education.
