If you’re a student with physical, learning or mental health difficulties, we want to make your time with us as easy and trouble-free as possible. Our dedicated Study Plus Team are here to help whether you’re studying full-time, part-time or in the evening – whatever level.
We provide support for those who are:
- Blind or visually impaired
- Deaf or hearing impaired, and those with the following conditions:
- Dyslexia, Dyspraxia and other learning difficulties
- Autistic spectrum conditions
- Emotional, social and behavioural difficulties
- Physical and mobility difficulties
- Medical conditions
- Learning difficulties
We also assist those seeking mental health and well-being support.
This support can include:
- One-to-one support
- In-class support
- Special equipment and software
- Advice and guidance
- Dedicated study area

Staff will be happy to discuss individual support needs that relate directly to the specific demands and accessibility of the chosen course. Where appropriate, the College will seek specialist advice.
The visit also provides an opportunity to:
- meet staff;
- discuss support needs;
- see the layout and accessibility of the buildings.
For university students, financial support is usually offered via the Disabled Students Allowance from Student Finance England. We are happy to provide prospective students with advice on how to make an application.
