The job will involve the learning of:
*laying of bricks and blocks to a string line.
*laying and forming brick and blockwork cavity walls.
*the setting out of all masonry works.
*learning about brickwork cladding
*learning about items related to brickwork. lintels / DPC courses / cavity ties.
*better gained knowledge of Health and safety of site as well as communication and learning to work with others. Also being able to follow you instructions given.
KEY TASKS & RESPONSIBILITIES:
•Ensure all jobs are scheduled in correctly to assist with coordinating daily job rotas.
•Carry out maintenance work as required and unsupervised according to ability.
•Flexible availability to suit weekend and evening work as required.
•Undertake any other related responsibilities commensurate with the evolving objectives of the post and the evolution of Eco Brickwork, as may reasonably be requested by the Director.
•Work with due regard for Eco Brickworks core values and objectives.
•Ensure the effective implementation of and adherence to Silverain’s Health and Safety policies and procedures.
PERSONAL AND PROFESSIONAL DEVELOPMENT:
•Participate in the Eco Brickworks Appraisal process, and agree short, medium and long term goals with line manager.
•Share best practice and achievements.
•Contribute to the learning of others across the organisation by sharing knowledge and skills both informally and formally.
|8:30/9:00am – 5:00/5:30pm : working hours|
|Starting salary of a minimum £5 per hour, raising after 1 years’ service.|
|• Punctuality: Work starts at 8am and finishes at 4pm. A pick-up point can be arranged.
• Health and safety: you must understand health and safety in the workplace
• Teamwork: Must be able to work as part of a team, and take and follow instructions
Training to be provided:
|This qualification is made up of:
• Level 2 NVQ in Trowel Occupations
• Level 2 Diploma in Bricklaying
• Functional Skills in English at Level 1
• Functional Skills in Mathematics at Level 1
• Employment Rights and Responsibilities (ERR)
• Personal Learning and Thinking Skills (PLTS)
