    Hoveair also run the Government Workplace Pension Scheme through NEST. An allowance of twenty days paid leave per annum is allocated and is to be taken during the course of the calendar year. This equates to 1.66 days for each full month worked. The jobholder will also be entitled to Eight English Public Holidays.

Job Description

Job Title: Building Service Engineering Installer

Location : 24-26 Hermitage Lane, South Norwood, London SE25 5HH

Job Summary:
The jobholder will be expected to assist a qualified engineer on various aspects of
building services with a plumbing/mechanical bias within the nominated contracts with
the Company and to comply with all Health and Safety Legislation at all times.

Working Conditions:
The job holder will be required to observe and adhere to the Company’s Terms and
Conditions of Employment at all times and will be expected to wear Company clothing at
all times during working hours, whilst setting a high standard of appearance that is
acceptable to the Company. Relevant PPE will be supplied and must also be worn.
Building Service Engineering Duties:
1. To provide assistance to a qualified engineer enabling the jobholder to learn the
2. To carry out general duties as instructed by his/her supervisor.
3. Copper pipework including compression and solder fittings
4. Plastic pipework including compression and solvent fittings
5. Domestic hot and cold water services
6. Low pressure hot water services
7. Pump (all types) including centrifugal, in-line booster and multi-stage
8. Sanitary systems and drainage
9. Lead work
10. All plastic pipework
11. Domestic hot and cold water
12. Soil/waste systems
Principal End Results:
1. To gain experience whilst working in the field
2. To attend college and achieve qualifications through study and training
3. To fully comply with the Company’s Planned Preventative Maintenance (PPM)
system and further issued work instructions
4. To fully co-operate with the Company’s Health and Safety Policy.
5. The satisfactory completion of expense sheets, time sheets and paperwork
designated by the Company and customer.
Job Attitude:

high degree of self-discipline and self-motivation is necessary together with appreciation
of fellow engineers in achieving total teamwork in order to meet the Company objectives.
