Are you considering completing an apprenticeship? Are you looking to learn more about how an apprenticeship works for you or a family member or friend? We hosted a week of online webinars between Monday 6th July to Friday 10th July where you could have found out more about possible opportunities and how to gain a qualification through an apprenticeship. 

Croydon College is one of the largest providers of apprenticeships in South London.  Our programme runs all year round, and you don’t have to wait until September to start. 

This series of webinars covered how our apprenticeship courses run across six different business sectors as well as the measures that are being put in place at this unprecedented time. We heard from a panel of companies from your chosen sector and guests were able to ask them questions. 

We  heard from businesses and organisations such as the  Centronics Ltd, Clarion Futures (Part of Clarion Housing Group), Govia Thameslink Railway Limited, Edition Hotels and many more about what apprentices can learn working with them.

What is an Apprenticeship?

An apprenticeship is a training development programme tied to a job role. It allows you to gain technical and functional knowledge, and real practical experience, required to do a job well. Apprentices earn while they learn, gain nationally recognised qualifications and receive professional on-the-job training. As an apprentice you will work as a contracted employee with full training, and you’ll be working alongside experienced staff, putting you on the first rung of the career ladder.

Who can apply to be an Apprentice?

Our Apprenticeship courses are open to anyone over 16 years old and not in full-time education.
