Course Overview

This creative course is designed to provide students who are intrigued and motivated by art and design with opportunities to explore, develop and test their creativity. You will have the opportunity to work with a wide range of art and design materials, techniques, and processes in our subject specialist studios and workshops. It will help you to identify your personal strengths and your area of interest and it is a stepping stone to study at Level 2.

Course Highlights

Throughout your course, you will have the opportunity to participate in numerous trips which include visits to London to look at various sites, galleries and museums to gather inspiration.

You will also be involved in collaborative projects such as our raising money through creative work for charity. You will have the chance to participate on the enrichment programme which involves working in your group debating and discussing key worldwide topics and getting experience in voluntary action.

The Croydon School of Art end of year shows are a key date when you will have the chance to showcase your best work from the year to your family and friends as well as professional visitors.

A key distinguishing feature of the college is our links with employers and the ways in which we incorporate this into your learning. Employers attend our popular employability events and you can discuss apprenticeships and progression opportunities in our Employability Hub or in the Apprenticeship Office.
