Public Services – Level 3 Diploma/Extended Diploma – September Start

4 GCSEs grade 9-4 (A*-C) or a related Level 2 vocational qualification (at merit or higher), including English and maths. Equivalence of these qualifications will be considered.
Mature applicants may be considered on relevant experience without having the required entry requirements. However, an
interview will always be required.
During this course you will cover preparing for a career in a chosen uniformed service, physical fitness, leadership, law, forensic science, skills for landbased activities and equality, diversity and inclusion. We’re bringing the real world to you with a wide range of work experience and hands-on engagements, including thrilling trips and exclusive guest speakers.

On completion you can progress into higher education to study topics including Criminal Justice, Social Policy, Law, Forensic or Criminal Psychology, Criminology, Security Studies and Disaster and Emergency Management Response. Alternatively, you may wish to start an apprenticeship.This course opens up a wide range of exciting career opportunities including Police Officer, Firefighter, Armed Forces, Prison Officer, Customs Officer or Civil Service Officer.
This course is ideal if you enjoy course work and is particularly attractive to those who prefer modular based learning, outdoor activities and fitness. Students will be assessed via practical work, presentations, practical observations, assignments, case studies and tests.
